Playing "The Cancer Card" by collecting and distributing gift cards to cancer patients – 2,484 gifts to date

#GoodInTheWorld is brightening the day of someone with cancer.

#GoodInTheWorld is a child asking for gift cards for cancer patients instead of birthday gifts.

#GoodInTheWorld is how we share the chain reaction of kindness The Cancer Card Xchange supports.

This page shows how this generosity is impacting the lives of many.

Ways to Support CCX

Katie Mitchell Townsend is a fantastic real estate agent in the Parsons, TN area. She is also a continual supporter of CCX. For every house she closes, she makes a donation to CCX in her client’s name. Every month or so, we receive an envelope filled with gift cards for us to use to brighten the day of people with cancer.

You may have wondered, “What could I do to help someone with cancer?” This is just one creative way to spread #GoodInTheWorld. We hope it inspires you to join our chain reaction of kindness or perhaps even create your own.

Thanks Katie!

Share a Smile, Give a Smile Recipient – March 2017

Misha is our patient of the month for the “Share a Smile, Give a Smile” Campaign, and her battle with cancer is one built on faith and bravery. We are so proud to honor her this month and her outlook throughout this journey is one that inspires us all!

About Share a Smile – Give a Smile:
We are thrilled to be a part of the Share a Smile-Give a Smile Campaign at Wilson Dental Care.  Dr. Charlyn Wilson has been a part of my medical team throughout my experience with oral cancer. She cares about her patients and she cares about her community. This is just one way she has chosen to give back to others. #PeopleAreGood
“Wilson Dental Care is beginning 2017 with some exciting news! We are proud to announce that we are partnering with The Cancer Card Xchange, a Collierville-based nonprofit, to honor patients of Wilson Dental Care who are battling or have battled cancer. Part of our mission at Wilson Dental Care is compassion and commitment to giving back to our community.
Through the Share a Smile, Give a Smile Campaign, each month in 2017 we will share the story of one of our patients who has faced a journey with cancer. The spotlighted patient will also receive a gift card through The Cancer Card Xchange program.
We would love our patients, family, and friends to also participate. Throughout each month, you can stop by our office to contribute a gift card donation. These contributions will then be distributed to brighten the day of cancer patients throughout the US. Please join us in our pursuit to be a bright spot in the lives of courageous people that are battling cancer!”
Follow along here and on our social media channels as the Share a Smile – Give a Smile Campaign unfolds this year. Please consider making a donation in 2017 in honor of the patients who will be highlighted through this campaign.

Give Camp 2017 Gives Back: New CCX Website Launch

Give Camp is a weekend-long event where designers, developers, marketers & web strategists donate their time to provide solutions for non-profit organizations.”

The Cancer Card Xchange participated for the first time in 2016. Last year the tech geniuses of Give Camp created a secure, electronic patient referral system for us. It was a dynamic shift change for how we gather and store patient referral information. Hours and hours of custom computer programming work was done for CCX simply in the name of doing good for others.

This year was no different. From Friday night at 6pm until 2pm today, Joe Ferguson, Sean Denny and Rod Thompson worked on a website and logo redesign for The Cancer Card Xchange. What would take months and a considerable financial investment was done in a weekend AT NO COST.

Money CCX didn’t spend on an updated, professional website and refreshed logo will allow us to continue to use nearly all donations made to us to brighten the day of people with cancer.

So, click around and enjoy our new site – especially the custom designed DONATE button!

Why do I support the Cancer Card Xchange?
